Well, it doesn’t exactly look like Opus, so maybe Berke Breathed isn’t subbing for Paul.

Yeah, it’s south. And the little penguin is just pitiful on Bugs Bunny. Every time he cries, he cries little ice cubes (which sounds painful now that I think about it)

Humphrey Bogart showed up in that one too.

Santa will be giving Poncho cat-toys for Christmas.

Chilly Willy was a penguin who appeared in cartoons released by Universal studios. The Bugs Bunny cartoons were released by Warner Bros. A baby penguin appeared with Bugs in “Frigid Hare” and “Eight Ball Bunny”. The latter was the one which co-starred a cartoon Humphrey Bogart.

So – what did you learn about yourself, Poncho. That you are lazy and uncaring. We all knew that.

Actually Opus the Penguin stars in Bloom County and a crossover with Bill the Cat. This would be the first time it’s seen in Pooch Cafe.

The two Bugs Bunny cartoons featuring the baby penguin were released a few years before the first Chilly Willy cartoon.

Not North! Penguins only live south of the equator. And this looks like an Antarctic one. Poncho would need some really warm clothes!
