Perenelle Flamel, legendary alchemist, died in 1397, but with experiments to turn ordinary metals into gold (Philosopher’s Stone) she could very well have discovered the secret to eternal life. Good summary here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perenelle_Flamel
Perenelle was mentioned in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which got re-titled in the U.S. to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone because Scholastic thought the title was too confusing for American audiences. Actually, Scholastic didn’t think children would want to read it if it had “philosopher” in the title. Author J.K. Rowling wishes she had been more insistent on the U.S. keeping the original title.
Reminding myself once again of the philosopher’s stone’s properties: “The philosopher’s stone has been attributed with many mystical and magical properties. The most commonly mentioned properties are the ability to transmute base metals into gold or silver, and the ability to heal all forms of illness and prolong the life of any person who consumes a small part of the philosopher’s stone.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosopher%27s_stone
So, dying in 1397 should not prevent Perenelle from appearing in the current story. This isn’t the first female character lately to be introduced from the feet up. Venus was introduced to us (or at least teased) the same way.
Perenelle Flamelle is the title character in The Sorceress, Vol. 3 in the “The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel” series by Michael Scott. (She appears in earlier volumes as well.)
Somebody’s letting their fetish show … (there’s a lot of BDSM themes & images running through the strip going back to Chester Gould’s years. A shrink would have had a field day with him),
We have here her booties, she who bears the name of a real 14th century woman [it appears in several variant forms] who was alleged in the 17th century to have been an alchemist along with her husband. Such, most of us found in the Wikipedia. An image search broadens the range of characters bearing that name.
But I must at this point wonder whether the appearance of a character possibly over 600 years old may relate to the known imminent appearance of the immortal (?) Mr. Am? And, for that matter, The Spirit….

The name “Perenelle” gives me a Spirit vibe, of his femme fatales such as P’Gell and Sand Saref.
