Our youngest son went to Parris Island before eventually going to Iraq twice & serving on ship as a Rapid Deployment Force in the Mideast, he told us that he was told that he will never forget the names of his D.I.s until the day he dies. May God bless those who served to train our young men & women to be the defenders of our freedom & to work as a team, the band of brothers in arms.

The Army doesn’t have DIs, they have drill sergeants; only the Marines have DIs.

Gee, I missed both of these cats…including the one who looks like a dog. Did a lot of TDY at Dix validating training materials in the early 80s.
