The same number of baby acrylics as it took to make my faux fur. When asked what the fur was, I responded that it was made of baby acrylics and the teenager was horrified that I would wear a fur coat that was the result of killing the acrylics. Had to explain it was artificial. Sad commentary on the intelligence of our youth. And many adults.
After we kids moved out my Dad started buying a small live potted tree to decorate at Christmas. After the New Year he took the tree out and planted it so it could continue to grow. My hubby and I use an artificial tree for two reasons 1. he is allergic to pine trees and gets a rash when he touches them and 2. we’d rather not have our inquisitive kitty eat pine needles and have to be rushed to the vet…
Karma is being a little too smug, I think. A lot of petrochemicals went into the making of her faux fir, whereas a living tree is a renewable, sustainable resource. (AGGGH! Ack! I’m sounding like one of “those” on the side Sir Dudley opposes!)

Artificial Christmas trees aren’t made from naugas or foxes. They’re made from petroleum.

Say, what’s with the background? There’s an X on one rectangle. Does it mean anything?

“X” marks the spot.

This strip would be offensive to any member of PETAT! (People for the ethical treatment of artificial trees)

I use a wrought-iron one, myself.
