Frazz by Jef Mallett for January 08, 2017
Transcript:
Coach Hacker: That doofus! Looks like Frazz didn't check the weather forecast. It's not supposed to get really cold until tomorrow. And now he's got to wear his big new parka home, too! Caulfield: Only partway home. Coach Hacker: Partway? Caulfield: As far as the highway overpass. Coach Hacker: Where that homeless guy camps out. Caulfield: I want to be a doofus when I grow up.

So he is giving it to that homeless man. What a nice guy.

Here’s a quandary for Caulfield, would he give a coat to Mrs Olsen on a cold day?

Maybe the parka is too high to get under the overpass.

I feel great when I act like Frazz, but he’s late. It’s been really cold here for a week.

Will make this comment about the ‘new’ gocomics: the beta page gives me no way to see how ‘my comics’ will be displayed. It also includes several very large, distracting suggestions in various categories.
As a consequence, tomorrow’s lift-off will hit me cold, Thus, the first impression will have a strong influence on whether or not I continue.

Also @Bilan: Yes, I think he would—and I’d love to hear his comment, too.

I sell whiskey at the crossroads & deal with them regularly. Donate work gloves & thermal underwear.

When you get your new coat you’re supposed to give them your old one.

A lady at my husband’s firm collected warm clothes, socks and gloves from everyone there. On Christmas Eve her husband, brother and she went to where most of the homeless hang out in our town and distributed the wear. It went in about 5 minutes (nights have been in the ‘40s – not as bad as back East, but still really nasty sleeping outdoors). She’s a mensch!

We just took some coats to the Living Hope Church for the homeless.
Everyone should go thru the closet and donate!

The NPP
Simple “recomendations” for simple folk. I know how to fish, but I would hate to depend on it for every day of my life. Some days they aren’t biting and netting an entire lake is illegal and properly so.
