Ten Cats by Graham Harrop for January 03, 2017

Ugh! I would not want to be ten again! And not just because one of my sisters (Ruth) died when I was ten (she was brain damaged at birth and lived her life bed-ridden and unable to sit up or speak). It might not be so bad to be back in my 20’s or 30’s, but I wouldn’t want to re-live my childhood.

A (magical) cat hair remover would be nice. I gave Lucy a good rub this morning, which she loves, then sneezed for a while.

I remember some of being 10, as we moved from the country to the suburbs but my brother needed to finish his senior year at our old high school so I commuted with him that last month. 55 years ago listening to the songs on the car radio with the very modern electronic sounding “Telstar” as we rolled down Niagara Falls Boulevard.

The only reason I would want to be 10 again is to be back in a hotter country with a better education system.

I’m not sure I would want to relive any part of my childhood.

That is wonderful news about Sis and Peg! I am rooting for Peg to get through her surgery OK.

I would love to not make the same mistakes that i made in the past.

I, too, would not want to relive my childhood – I’m just glad I survived it.

I just joined the club. I, too, had a miserable childhood.

And that is why I worked hard to give my kids the kind of childhood I wished for!

Word: if you don’t want a child, don’t have one!

Annie is only age 10? I thought she was older.

Nope, wouldn’t go back to my childhood if you paid me, and it wasn’t bad, I had great folks, but didn’t like school much.

Gee, so many of us had miserable or unhappy childhoods! I’m sorry for everyone who had a poor childhood. So did I. One big reason I never wanted (and never had) children.
