There used to be a large pond up the road from us, and the ducks came there every year. Now the pond is filled in, and the folks who live in the houses are complaining about the “dirty ducks”.
So next time, think about your house in the country.
Awww, good Koko. A couple of years ago an awesome oak tree that had stood for hundreds of years in the area near where I live was taken down, despite protests, to widen a section of county highway.
I grew up and live in the middle of a mid-size city (Pittsburgh). When I was a child my grandfather would take us for walks through the 300 acre cemetary near our home. We’d go to the double pond and watch the frogs and turtles swimming around. Now you can’t get near the pond because there is a huge flock of geese that stopped here and never left. They are poop machines and ruined a nice place for kids. I walk in the cemetary with the kids but don’t go near the $#!t hole that the ponds have become.
…sorry for the rant but it annoys me that a big part of my childhood has been destroyed by geese and now I can’t pass that joy on to the children in my life.
Funny how you all complain about cutting down trees to make room for an expanding human population, yet I’ll bet many of you want to leave the borders open for unfettered immigration.
