On my living room TV I have to use two remotes, one for on/off, and volume, the other for changing channels and adjustments…Unfortunately, I’m a bit dyslexic so it usually takes me about 3 tries to do whatever it is I’m trying to do….. I’m sure I’m not smart enough to work a smart phone….

A true symbiosis where each brings their complementary skills to the relationship.

BTW, from now on, I’m going to reply without using the Reply button. I’m not sure how many people bother to read the comments posted under the "replies’’ and I want full exposure!

I purchase a new cell phone which went ok til I tried to make a phone call. The phone symbol wanted me to then press keypad or go to contacts. Why can’t the keypad automatically come up? My grandson took the phone and said here grandpa just do this.

@VARNES Don’t worry about being smart enough to work a smart phone. The smart phone will work you.

I prefer the reply button, especially when there are a lot of comments between the original and the reply. When the replies are mixed with the comments I have to go back to find the original to understand the reply. If the replier doesn’t use the @commenter at the start I don’t know if it’s a reply or comment on the strip.

Perhaps, if doing it this way, one should include the text of what one is replying to…

One reason I like the old website is because it was easier to read all comments and replies

@JOEDON2007 Somewhat (and definitely with that qualifier), I prefer the current format — with the previous format, I was constantly scrolling up to what the poster was replying to in order to figure out how the reply related to the original post. It was sometimes several screens up. Now, I don’t have to scroll as far, although I understand that the reply is not necessarily tied to the correct post. I wish they’d get these comments working properly!!!!

To each according to his needs, from each according to his abilities.

Somewhat self-centered. Easy to skip, though.

The Weather App I like so much is My Cast, and it’s no longer available. So when I get a new phone, I will lose it :-(

Actually my purpose in signing in to comment was to say that oddly our channel 12 is our local weather and news channel.
But in light of the discussion – My husband is wonderful. He manages to keep the old stuff I prefer to use going with whatever I need it to work with. He is currently trying to get our new scanner (the old one just died) to work with my old software for me. He builds my computers so that I can continue to have serial and parallel ports for hardware. He makes my Blackberry and Palm Centro (latter only used these days as a PDA) keep working.
