The school has to get it X hours (varies by state law) of class time or it’s not considered a “day” for them to get state aid for (so many $s per “day” per student).

I always buy Almond Joy bars for Halloween. I happen to love coconut chocolates. On the two-hour delay, as a teacher, I call those “the dreaded two hour delay”. Just like the kids, it’s a huge disappointment. And when you’re the teacher, you might as well just go on in to work. Bleagh.
