@TIGRESSY from yesterday. You mentioned oversleeping due to a nasty cold. Oh, I can feel your pain! I’ve been sick with my cold for 5 days now. I’m finally feeling much better (but not entirely well yet). This is probably the worst cold I have ever had. It certainly holds the record for being the longest in duration. Usually, I start feeling better in 24-36 hours, Not this time! It was 4 full days of feeling horrible, followed by one day (today) of just feeling unwell (somewhat short of felling horrible). I’ll be going to bed soon, with high hopes of being almost back to normal when I get up in the morning. Listen up, everyone – be careful and DO NOT CATCH THIS COLD!
Ok, that one wanted to be in bold, so we’ll start there…. Tony asks…. “Favorite dessert?”
My answer: Yes, please!!
But…. about the toon above…. I don’t buy aerosol cans much… but a few years ago, I was asked to bring one of real whipped cream to someone’s house…
It was actually better than I expected, so I started to occasionally buy one. It keeps a very long time, and even a half pint of fresh cream is too much to use up all at once.
However… the label says one can contains something like 65 “servings”… with so few calories one could hardly resist.
Then you discover that these mythical servings are two tablespoons… probably half what Elliot is complaining about above.
My friend and I, that first time, were trying, experimentally, to see whether we could squirt out a puff that small. Her husband tried… a few other friends tried…. nobody came close.
Then everybody went ahead and puffed out the half cup or so most people use…. 4 “servings.” Some had seconds.
Since then I’ve checked other brands, real and fake…. and they all participate in this blatantly devious conspiracy to make us think 65 virtuous people could share one can.
Aha… Tigressy… you posted the question while I was typing.
That’s what I get for being long-winded. On this new site we can’t refresh just the comments before posting, without refreshing the whole page.
You were one of the people I wanted to answer from yesterday… just to say I’d only missed one day! It happens. A bit soon to send the rescue dogs… or the ambulance.
WhiteHeron… indeed…. I try to refrain from colorful language…. but you know…. sometimes the rainbow is a powerful lure. I’ll try harder…. LOL
And Plods…. well, how do you spell “¿@&%#!” ?? I trust that you know….. :)
Lastly… JPuzz…. you can’t make people admit that they’d watch certain programs by limiting the number they can answer that they wouldn’t watch.
I don’t have a TV, and I’m not interested enough to even seek most of that stuff online.
I spend enough time online…. on the comics, on the news… on reading articles about things I didn’t need to know, even the odd bit of weird clickbait that grabbed my brains.
There is a shortage, but is the nitrous. https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2016/12/the-deadly-explosion-behind-americas-whipped-cream-shortage/511118/
If Elliot hadn’t been such a …., well anyway, he could have had my serving of whipped cream. I don’t dislike it but I never found the thrill of it that some folks have.Tony favorite dessert? I ain’t particular. Peculiar yes, particular , no.
Dad’s fault. It’s what you taught him, lol. My boys try (they’re in their 20’s, there), but they haven’t achieved my level of sublime sarcasm….. The hardest part to teach is “When”.

TV is one more thing I don’t need.

Favorite dessert? Last night it was cheesecake. Ask me today, when the waiter puts something else in front of me.

If I eat desert, it’s got to be cheese cake. Nothing else will do.

@Tony:
I like apple pie, ice cream and cheesecake. And I’m not going to “dessert” [sic] my duty of asking today’s…
Second “Daddy’s Home” Question:
Do you have a whipped cream shortage?
cuzinron47 almost 8 years ago
What are you complaining about? You’re getting more than a portion as Susan pointed out.

Yes, there is. The two factories the produce the propellant gas for the whipped cream industry are having difficulties.
Saucy1121 Premium Member almost 8 years ago
Favorite dessert? The chocolate Chiffon Pie my mom used to make. I haven’t made one in a couple of years. Need to get on that.
James Lindley Premium Member almost 8 years ago
And by the way, yes, there is a shortage for the aerosol whipped cream. Plenty of cream, but not enough nitrous oxide to use as a propellant.
