Voice: Good evening. Today in Washington, a storm of controversy was unleashed by the news that four New England governors had decided to spray local infestations of preppies. Fumed preppy standard-bearer, George Bush, "It's outrageous! There aren't even that many preps in New England during the off-season. Most of us tip well and leave by Labor Day." Meanwhile, the causes of the prep explosion are still under investigation, but preliminary findings suggest that the Reagans' infatuation with the wealthy and socially connected is a major factor. White House spokeswoman Muffy Brandon dismissed such speculation as tacky.
