My mom would have me lick the tissue and then wipe my face with it.

I use a dab of hand sanitizer or Windex® on mine. Gives it that “just out of the package” look!

My mother would humiliate me by doing it in public.

All in the point of view.

That is gross – and my mom did that to me too.

Now that I think of it….I always thought mine did too….until I suddenly had a flash of myself sitting next to her on a bus when she had her hanky out and ready. The she put it next to MY mouth and said, “Spit.” A very sanitary progressive woman, that one.

OMG! I will never learn never to have breakfast while reading this strip! Ewwwww!!!DISGUSTING!!!

Both my mother and grandmother used to do that.

Grandma called it: giving " a lick and a promise ".

I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut.

In my house, back in the day, “a lick and a promise” applied to almost anything. Did you clean your room? Did you sharpen the mower? The house needs dusting. ETC

It also works when cleaning dishes; best to let the family dog do it.

The worst thing about touchscreens. They get dirty very easily! Unless you have some sort of screen protector on it.
