Mark: And now it's time for "great moments in mellow"! Aug, 13, 1975: first cusinart processor clears U.S. customs. What season of "profiles on parade" would be complete without a visit from our old friend, Dr. Dan Asher, tastemaker to the mellow? Dan's latest handbook is for all you baby-boomers who've finally gotten into child-rearing right, doctor? Dan: That's right, Mark! I call it, "The mellow parent: Sharing your space with dependents." Mark: Whoa! Sounds like another timely title, Dan! Dan: For srue, Mark! With so many upscale folks getting into parenting these days, there's just a big need for your basic how-to! In "The Mellow-Parent," I discuss such problems as looking for a good housekeeper, preventing your baby from eating your ferns, and the importance of budgeting quality time. Mark: What's "quality time," dan? Dan: That's a small part of the day you set aside to spend with your kid. It doesn't have to be much, ten minutes is usually enough, but it has to be quality! You can just watch T.V. - you have to focus on the child's needs. Mark: What if one of it's needs is more time? Dan: That's quantity time, I'm not really talking about the problem child here, Mark.
