I kind of enjoy having Doubleup in the strip. He’s a sort of a likeable villain, in a way.

I am not surprised that Perenelle has a Ramon to pamper her and cater to her needs..

But I have a suspicion that she will not be on that flight tomorrow evening. Things may blow up at the auction—even DoubleUp, that formidable bodyguard. “Formidable” indeed. Is he not Chekhov’s gun?

btw, doubleup’s shadow is incorrect… for it to be cast in THAT way he would need to be standing full facing the light source so that the full shape of his head (including his little ‘hair horns’) would throw that shadow.

the way he is standing, however, should cast a profile shadow… also, the hint of shading over his right shoulder (our left side) should not be there if the light source were to cast a shadow like the one in this panel.

I’m surprised this has, so far, eluded our “panel screeners”, and I am ALSO surprised that JOE didn’t catch it whilst creating the image

I got the impression, even from the interior views, that it was a fairly small airplane. Not all commercial flights are jumbo jets.

Yes it is more than a mere shadow, it is a visual metaphor to counter point Perenelle’s compliment of Doubleup.

So the auction will be moving ahead, with one fewer bidder. I just wonder what’s going to happen next.

Av, you did a good job, as usual. I heard that the East Coast had an internet blackout. Did it perhaps have anything to do with that fiber optic line running under SDM’s overpass and his trying to install a switch to collect internet rent? Hmmmm?
