Way back when, my brother-in-law used to wait until the rates went down at 11 PM in CA to call us to chat. After a couple of these calls, hubby got up a bit early and called him before the rates went up in MD. The wife answered, and we never got another call.

Ray is a much better person than Joe is, more thoughtful and considerate of others.

I remember being called at all hours in the AM by recruiters who apparently were unaware that, unlike the Republic of India, the United States has more than one time-zone. While 9AM is fine in New York, 6AM is way too early in California..I have since removed my telephone number from all of my job search materials. If you want me, send an email. If I’m interested, I’ll call you.

Failure is not an option. It is a given.

The person being called gets to determine if the call is really important.
