Aren’t there incidents of people being strangled by – Oh, let’s say a beaded necklace – Where the resulting contusions resembled strangulation by large hands?

It messes up the climate control if you let people open the windows. I suppose it’s a simpler window frame, too, if it doesn’t need an opening mechanism.
Both good points !
I was thinking along the lines of keeping fools from jumping out windows or victims of foul play.
I think the Spirit has large hands (unless those gloves are padded). DoubleUp has large hands. An orangutan has large hands (thinking Murders in the Rue Morgue). I have no idea at this point who the killer might be nor his/her motive. We need more clues!
Side note. I found a story in one of my Spirit collections (in Norwegian, unfortunately) where Spirit doesn’t wear gloves. Of course, he’s in disguise, and he’s still wearing his mask, but hidden underneath his robes:
My guess is Ramon……he was already there; didn’t need to break in. Wouldn’t arouse suspicion from Double-Up. And if Perenelle talks in her sleep; has the formula himself to sell…..
Maybe it was Punjab, working on Warbuck’s behalf. Or the big mute fellow that the Dragon Lady used to have working for her? (Forgot his name.) Anyone rich enough to pony up a quarter million can probably come up with some trustworthy hired muscle.

So, Doubleup didn’t do it but the killer had very large hands. I don’t really think the Dragon Lady fits that description.

Spirit’s off-hand comment about Tracy questioning him does support the speculation that he was one of the bidders.

Yet Spirit was allowed to come and go from the venue while the others were locked in !

“Large Hands” …?
That rules out at least one person.

Maybe it was ‘The Dragon Lady.’

Maybe paying Doubleup in advance was a big mistake…..

Whosever shadow was that behind Doubleup did it. He is as big if not bigger than Doubleup.
The shadow behind Doubleup on the 2/28 strip was not his but someone else’s. I just refer to it as Doubleup’s shadow.

Mr. Am has large hands and doesn’t need the secret of immortality getting out.

Sometimes a rose is just a rose. Yet did not Bribery allude to the arrival of Nah-Tay’s brother at the time of the battle at Ace Tower?

I find it odd Tracy would allow Spirit to hear the investigation of others if Spirit were an actual suspect.

The Octopus who always wears gloves is the obvious killer since the Spirit is involved.
