When I was young I was so bold

No knowledge led to many a trial

My experience grew as I got old

Now the plumber’s on speed dial!

True wisdom comes when you understand what you don’t know and to leave it to the experts.

Now I’m at an age and a stage that I can afford to have someone else do it. Sweet!

That’s called experience and, believe it or not, it does great to your life expectancy.

A lot of being smart is knowing what you’re dumb at.

Allergies and general dislike of lawn maintenance means I no longer mow my own lawn; I use a service for that.

When I was first married? We had this apartment with an electric range? One day my wife told me one of the elements wouldn’t get hot? I had this screwdriver? Figured I’d check for continuity? Laid the screwdriver across both terminals to see if I’d get a spark……See panel two above? I was the only guy in the shop with a nice facial suntan in February?…

My first thought: “Challenge ACCEPTED!” My second thought: “Get the First Aid Kit!”

Oh, good. Those lectures from the fire department finally sunk in.

People train for years and try to make a living doing home repairs. Why deprive them of their reward (payment for work well done)? Penny wise and pound foolish…..

I’ve had one or two occasions where an expert did a worse job on something than I had done in a similar circumstance, as an “amateur”. But I don’t necessarily always feel like doing all of my home fix-it work anyway, if I can afford to hire someone.
