Birdsong is one of the best things about being up early in the morning, particularly when I’m in no hurry to go anywhere. But maybe it would be different if the birds were sitting on my stomach.
Nothing more enjoyable than drinking a steaming hot cup of coffee while sitting on my deck listening to the song birds as the first rays of Mr. Golden Sun peek over the hedge.
As I was mindin’ ma own business reading a book out on my deck, a rufus sided towhee perched on my arm and started singing. Very pleasant, but it still startled the living daylights out of me.
