I know lot of people hate it – the hassle of resetting all our clocks twice a year and losing that hour of sleep when we “spring forward”, but I like daylight saving time too because I like the extra hour of daylight in the evening.
Funny how she sounds just like Marla from Retail yesterday. She even looks a bit like her. Maybe it’s because Norm writes both strips (both GREAT strips!)
Funny how you can tell how far south people live by how much they hate DST. As you get down toward the equator the difference in daylight hours is less and less from season to season. Up north here it’s very noticeable, and at the winter solstice we have barely 8 hours of daylight at my latitude. DST mostly helps keep those daylight hours centered on the working day; if we stayed in standard time year round, we’d end up with blazing sunlight at 4 AM where I live right around the summer solstice.

I hate daylight savings time. I wish they would just stop it altogether
