You can really feel how unbelivable this sounds too him. Far beyond what he ever could imagine. He hang up without a word and turn around with “wtf…..is this true? Does they really….really mean what I think now?”
Something sinister resides in Endtown…an attitude that had it’s beginnings with a certain Jackrabbit, was played out during the Milk Trial, and has come to this logical conclusion.
Is ham on the menu in endtown? If this is about food consumption by those “PIGS” you have to realize that your local Rhinoceros or even an Bear such as Walt has to consume more food by virtue of size alone.
This has to be bigger than Jacob. He was very pro-mutant, militantly so. If it was simply an issue of consumption, many mutants use up greater quantities of supplies than pigs. I am at a complete loss to imagine what might be behind this, but the issue is a lot bigger than providing a supply of ham. What do you do when the pigs are gone? If mutation is a s random as it seems, you can’t even breed more pigs. No, Aaron is much too good a storyteller for this arc to be that simple.
Hmmm… Sounds like a clue as to why Portia’s brother committed suicide.
As someone who has experience in telemarketing, I would at the very least make sure I’m talking to the person I want to talk to. But this is what happens when you forget your manners.
If Walt remembers what Dottie told him about being too impatient, he’ll quietly hang up the phone, turn to ask Dottie how long this has been going on, and then he’ll hunt down and kill every wolf in the colony. In a calm, ordered manner.
Unity resorted to eating their non-reptile embryos. Endtown appears to be moving from resident by-products to the actual residents. I wonder how the Topsiders are handling starvation. And what’s Marx doing about any of it?
So is this “ethnic cleansing”, or “sacrifice yourself for the good of the community” (and if so why pigs?), or…? I like Jenner’s idea of “Walter Trimble PI”, to quietly investigate what’s going on and uncover the truth. Waiting eagerly for Friday to see if Walter hangs up the phone without speaking or whether he gives the caller an earful. I’m betting on simply hanging up the phone so he doesn’t tip his hand, then turning to Portia to find out how much she knows and any inkling of who’s behind this.
“Your brother made the right decision…” Her actual brother or her fellow pig “brother”.Are there other occurrences of human siblings getting the same mutation? Not talking about the ones born as sibling mutants like in Unity.
