Don’t you just hate it when your imaginary friend throws you in the lake?

I wonder why the fish eat things like earthworms and crickets they normally wouldn’t find in their lake?

Insects? Anything that resembles the kinds of bait fish get from surface skaters, swimmers, and crash landings can become a meal. Earthworms? Less likely but supposedly the wriggling attracts the fish.

That grin in the next to the last panel is what did the litte imp in.

Has Roslyn taught C to swim yet?

What exactly would Calvin do with a fish if he ever caught one?

Fishing; The Single MOST BORING enterprise ever conceived of by the mind of man!

Had a friend (in my younger days) that would bring a grocery sack(paper) full of M80s and then would ‘scrounge’ up all the old beer cans, stuff the M80s into the opening and use them as ‘depth charges’ on neighboring boaters ! ! !

Moral of the story, dont ever get a stuffed animal who is bigger than you are.

That second to the last panel was priceless. They could have ended it right there, and it would have been funny.

You know, that idea wasn’t so far fetched. When my dad went overseas in the military, a cook on his ship tossed a hand grenade into the harbor and stunned a bunch of fish. Scared the hell out of everyone, but they had fresh fish for dinner that night.

I have never fished in my life. Anyway it’s more of a man’s thing. I have NEVER heard of a woman fishing.

Apart from “fishing for compliments” of course.
