Why I stick to my bank’s own ATM’s. Or, (good gosh!) go see a teller. They seem to be happy to see me.

I’ve never used a debit card. Ever.

Auntie, the bank isn’t a charity run for your convenience.

I feel the same way, Aunty, but I think we need a rocket launcher instead of a slingshot.

Like how my Credit Union has started charging a fee for sending paper billing statements, I.E., billing their customers for billing their customers…

There are several places that have free ATMs, plus getting cash back at most stores doesn’t cost anything. I’ve only paid ATM fees 3 times in the past decade – I was in a hurry. Of course, this is Florida, other states may have different rules.

Yeah, you’re not paying for the money. You’re paying to get it from a little box. Anywhere. The bank isn’t twisting your arm to use those little boxes, either. You made that choice.

I’ve had bank tellers and managers hurt my feelings, wound my soul, get me excited and scare the shit out of me:( Since I’ve been using ATM’s exclusively that hasn’t happened:) The price I pay to use them is well worth the expense:)

Hopefully, the banks won’t start charging you to use a live, honest-to-god teller. My branch did some remodeling and now there are only two teller windows available.
