And I will now tell Georgia that on the day the people started celebrating getting the apartment, we finally found a house we liked. On the day she was telling the cats, we were told our offer was accepted. Clearly, BCN provides omens of good news. (Though my wife has to give me CPR every time I think of the price.)
So we will be moving in a month or so. She-Who-Is-So-Important-That-The-Universe- Spontaneously-Came-Into-Existence-To-Accommodate-Her will not be happy.
“Why have you betrayed us?” is the best line. I’ve heard that one before. It starts as soon as you put them in the carrying case, before you even leave the house.
“Soon” is a relative thing, I suppose. We moved 7 hours drive from our previous city with a previous cat and he yelled his head off the whole journey. Since we’d started off later than hoped, we stayed overnight at a hotel that took pets. He yelled the whole night. And then the whole night long at the new house. No, he wasn’t Siamese. We had a house rabbit at the same time and she thought the move was great fun, took it all in stride. Carpet in the hotel room to do binkies on! Carpeted stairs at the new house to run up and down on! Yay! Rabbits definitely travel better than cats do.
These broadcasts have a couple of my all time favorite lines: Boxes are never empty, The people have gone insane & Why have you betrayed us. Love it Georgia!!
OMC! I will now forever think of Miss Furbie (see photo left) as She-Who-Is-So-Important-That-The-Universe- Spontaneously-Came-Into-Existence-To-Accommodate-Her! Thanks Robin!
I’m now having flashbacks of moving back to Vancouver from Saskatoon with 4 cats in the car including one part Siamese (Elvis reminds me of my Mozart in so many ways) and a little miss who had panic attacks when in carriers. Let’s just say my vet was more than willing to give me some sedatives for the trip and I’m glad I had them
Let’s see, question mark would be Puck, exclamation point would be Lupin, and boldface would be Elvis, right? Reminds me SO much of my uncle’s story about driving the family dog (who took it just fine) and cat (who…didn’t) from the American west cost to the east coast. He used to say my aunt had the better deal flying with the kids until she pointed out that they were two toddlers in diapers at the time.

Has Elvis never looked through a window and seen one of his slaves getting into a car and driving away?

One of the cats should be saying “Don’t you love us anymore?”

If Beatrix was there she’d be saying, “CN News: Ma’am? Are we there yet?” :)

If you don’t like the Featured Comment thing, use the URL www(dot)gocomics(dot)com/breaking-cat-news/?comments=visible
For a date other than today, use www(dot)gocomics(dot)com/breaking-cat-news/YYYY/MM/DD?comments=visible
YYYY is year, MM is month, and DD is day (always 4, 2, and 2 digits, respectively). This works for all comics on GoComics.

Why do that always say, “CN News”? Doesn’t the “CN” stand for “Cat News”? So they’re saying, “Cat News News.”
But then again, they’re cats.

What in cat’s name is a car?…..it is a moving boxy thing which just begs cats to scream loudly and poop or spit up on it.
