gotta love (and loathe) those words Elly said in the final panel.

Then Ellie, only you can look through them. He doesn’t know.

That’s how it is for a lot of people, including me. Usually if you have a ‘must get’ in mind before you start looking, the hunt is fruitless and entirely frustrating. Better to go with an open mind and what’s there, and trust you’ll find something you’ll love. Been there, done that. Learned the hard way.

One area of life where ‘serendipity’ plays a most important role.

I see one basic problem. DO NOT paper a kitchen. Tile where needed, OK, otherwise use GOOD paint.

Whatever else their problems, John should be thankful that God paired him up with Elly. He could have ended up with some vapid trophy wife who would say something to the effect of “So what if you need to spend money on the kitchen, John. I must have the clothes. I must have the cosmetics. I must have the jewels.”

I am definitely John on this one. Don’t ask me to decorate anything! But I appreciate that the people who DO decorate do things that I can’t. I’m just glad I have a phone these days for moments like that one.

Ah, the wonders of female logic………….. with never a solution to be found by the minds of mortal man…………. Wimmen, proof that God had a sense of humor….. ;-)

Ugh, wallpaper. So glad that’s not presently in fashion and that my wife hates it.

Looking through wall paper books in one of the most frustrating things I can think of. Second is looking through paint samples.

Actually, “William Taylor” hits the nail on the head! This is the reason a Man can walk into a store, purchase what he went in for and walk out 10 minutes later, while a Woman takes hours to ‘shop’!

Agreed, wallpaper now out of fashion. My mom used to get the old books from the stores and use them to paste in articles, ie economIcal scrapbooks!
