I was fortunate enough to grow up in the DC area and be a child when Jim first took his talents to local TV. I can still remember his spots for “Wilkins Coffee” featuring Wilkins and Wontkins.
I was trying to deliver something on the Disney lot in Burbank and the only person who would direct me in the right destination was Jim Henson. He could see my need for help even though he looked like death warmed over and in fact did die three months later. Jim Henson—one of the good guys.
If Henson was the guy (sorry, mentor) that inspired you to do what you do, WOW, he did a great job. I’ve loved his work all my life. And you’ve done a great job making Nancy live again. Thanks for the reminder, thanks for the comics!

Don’t forget, Sammy Davis, Jr. died on the exact same day as Jim Henson. Both in ’90.
