I guess you don’t know how judgemental a cat can be.

Just curious, everyone. What pet(s) do you have, including name(s)? Me? I don’t have one yet. I’d like a cat at some point— after I get a more permanent living arrangement.

What is the contemporary name for a pet these days? Companion animal, etc?

As far as I know it’s still pet.

I will need a cat with a longer attention span than mine.

My cat likes science fiction and fantasy.

She loved Tolkien, or pretended to anyway.

Didn’t seem to care for the movies, though.

A bit of a print snob, I think.

I do not have pets. My neighbour has these dogs that bark consistently. Maybe if I were to read the daily comics to those dogs, then perhaps reading the daily comics to those dogs could possibly quiet them down..

SPACE CAPTIAN CODY (VICTOR 4)‘s comment: “I see a Taco” is the featured comment!! Really?! No offense, Vic4, but GC’s algorithm for selecting stellar comments is seriously flawed. Yesterday Rotifer’s GC slam was the featured comment. What a ridiculous format change. No rhyme or reason. “Let’s keep adding more changes to frustrate the remedial pet-reading masses!”

For my friends that helped me get my van.

I put a proxy bid on four wheelchairs being auctioned off by The Oregon Zoo. They are listed as being in good condition and from what i can see of them they look okay.

I have been wanting to get a regular wheelchair for the van. Not long after i got the van i used it to go pick someone up at the hospital and had to stop their house to pick up a wheelchair. I have a "transfer chair’, but thats not the same thing.

I can keep the best of the four for myself, i know someone that could use one at her home, and I’m sure that it would be easy to find homes for the other two.

My top (proxy) bid is $40, and presently have the bid at $27. The auction runs for another five days.

If (IF) i win the bid i will go up next Friday. If the day is nice i will make a day of it. I haven’t been to the zoo in a couple of years. It could be fun.

When I read FA to my frogs, they’re always distracted by the crickets.

How audacious and presumptive! Didn’t your mother teach you that Children Should Be Seen and Not Heard?!

I’ll have you know, however, that I have no dog, cat, bird, fish, pig, fox, capybara, or turtle. No pets (it’s a Condo Association rule, though I know of a few “exceptions”).

And I read just as well as you do. Harrumph!

But I think she touched all the tomatoes.

I think she may have been reading them to me in braille.

GoComics is back online! Whoopity-doo-doo.

Out of curiosity, I headed for the FA archive to see if this new FEATURED COMMENT has been grandfathered into every FA since the beginning of time. It has. I don’t think any FAs are commentless, so they should all have a FEATURED COMMENT. What about strips with no comments? I wonder and worry how the creators of those strips cope with seeing nothing posted day after day. I’d take action, but I’m not into pity posting. I’m a bad, bad man, I know.

I hear an Owl every morning as I am preparing for work. I could probably take the time to read the daily comics to the Owl, but the Owl probably couldn’t give two Schlitz about comics..

Where is the new Frog Applause for Saturday, May 13th? It appears that no comics have been updated, not just FA. Unacceptable! We wait from 4-11something while a hardware upgrade shuts down the site, and now NOTHING is what he get. Thanks, loads, overloads.
