I just love how the only argument I’m hearing against the Paris agreement boils down to “Well, THEY might do bad things, so why can’t WE do them? No fair!”
Oddly enough, a colder globe has less fresh water. It takes thermal energy to make fresh water and gravity never rests. But covering every available surface with fresh water also causes catastrophic global cooling, which results in global aridity and ultimately global warming. What is your role in the cosmic scheme of things? If you have to ask, you already know. You actually don’t count for much.
I commute with several diesel pickups “rolling coal.” I don’t see the attraction, and if I had any sort of asthma or other condition that could be triggered by it, I can see the danger. Takes a special sort of person (interpret “special” as you like).
Our planet is endangered not as much as the pollution we now produce as much as by the pollution we WILL produce. Population growth will nullify any attempts of ours to reduce our carbon footprints, even if they are more effective than the wimpy Paris agreements.

Here is a simple person’s view of global warming: It’s just going to be warmer out.

Li’l Trumpee said ‘climate change is a hoax’ then he applied to build a sea wall around one of his golf courses to protect it from the rising ocean.

Rat has the Attitude to stick it to the Sierra Club. He looks almost professorial in his safety glasses and helmet, clutching his plans!
And Zeeba Neighba is so passive and meek!
Will Rat’s hotels avoid the colder latitudes?
