Chair, beetle, ostrich, moth, rose, clover, flowers (don’t know what kind), medallion (I’m guessing).

@MEH-TDOLOGY. When I pasted in your link, a scrolling ad appeared in the upper right corner, even though I’ve got adblocker on.

@MEH. Can’t read any of your replies until you’re humpty-dumptied off the Featured Comment wall. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t put MEH-TDOLOGY’s replies back together again.

So, in Dancing In The Ruins from Club Ninja, one line is always interpreted in online lyrics as “And even though our skulls rot in our flesh, we can build a laser, tear the mesh”, which makes no sense to me. I’ve always heard it as, “And even though our skulls wrapped in our flesh, we can build a maze of tenderness”.

    What’s up with that?

Did anyone else flash on Dick van Dyke when his hair was a head of lettuce? No? I guess as usual, it was just me.

    The nixtamalization

    of the corn generation

    is way above my station

but is part of all creation.

    An alkaline solution

    will flood out the pollution

    with ash and lime

    have a taco

    at a later time.

In all the time I had lived by the river, I had never seen it change to any great extent. In the summer, it became more tepid and unfragrant. In the winter, it became more clogged with gelatinous goo. The smell also improved somewhat in the winter. This was due to the lack of floating former life forms and other debris so frequently found in summer months. Among the former life forms there might be aquatic, amphibious, and land creatures, birds and many things unknown and unidentifiable in their decomposition. But these were only seasonal changes in a monotony of repetititve ABABAB rhymes.

I don’t get it. I have no problems reading the comments. Yeah the Featured Comment thing is annoying but after I click to see the replies, yeah all I see are the featured comment and its replies. But then I just click on “Show All Comments” and boom they’re back. Any reply I’d opened earlier is still open and replies to comments I hadn’t seen before (because they come after the featured comment) open just fine.

I use Avast’s customized version of the Opera browser if that makes a difference. The one weird thing is that I can only see two lines of what I’d typed until I click to make the comment. Then I can see everything but have to click again to actually add the comment.

Today’s guest artistic influence is Giuseppe Arcimboldo, a 16th c. Italian creator of unusual fruity and veggie portraits. This influence is superposed on early graphic design in a mischievous ploy to generate lame rhymes and nixtamalized corn for tacos! Tacos and tequila for all!

It is quite Frog Applause-ish for us to celebrate Cinco de Mayo some two weeks late….
