I recognize Cool Cat, Bucky Katt, Top Cat and his crew, The Cat in the Hat, Sylvester, Mooch, Felix, Tom, Bill, Peekaboo from “Rose Is Rose,” the Pink Panther, Snagglepuss, Garfield, Itchy, and Krazy. I don’t know the blue cat in the red sneakers and the cape-wearing one on the far right.
Other comic cats who seem to be missing: Spooky (from Bill Holman’s Smokey Stover); Cicero’s Cat (from Mutt and Jeff); the Pussycat Princess (Grace Drayton); Fritz the Cat; Fat Freddy’s Cat; Tenniel’s Cheshire Cat. There also should be something for Louis Wain in there, I think.
Trust me! No cat—especially famous cat—would miss Heathcliff’s all-the-stops-pulled-out Memorial Day blowout blast bash! Even I’m at this party, right now, and it ROCKS! And ALL the cats are here (the camera lens, after all, can only scope out so much)! Wish you were here, too. (Eat your heart out!) That’s just toooooooooooo baaad!
These cats also didn’t show up: Kitty Katswell (T.U.F.F. Puppy), Ashley Bengal (My Cage), Sue Ellen (Marc Brown’s Arthur), and even the Catillac Cats (Hector, Wordsworth, and Mungo) and Cleo who were co-stars in a 1984-1987 Heathcliff TV cartoon series!
