I like ducks; they’re shy and cute. Canadian geese are territorial, arrogant and messy. No thanks to the geese in our town, we are no longer allowed to feed the ducks because it’ll attract more geese.
a few geese are fine, but now our tidy neighborhoods don’t have the foxes and wild cats that keep their numbers down. We have duck crossing signs along our streets but honestly it is the goslings stopping traffic.
When I was a kid, we hardly ever saw geese or deer in an urban environment and now the geese are in every puddle and you have to be care to not hit a deer going to the mall!

Even worse is the tons of poop they leave on the shoreline. Tread carefully!

Yeah, but ducks can interrupt a Cubs game.

I like geese. They make a good dinner. The poop they leave is a different matter.

They don’t migrate like they used to. Too many unfrozen retention ponds.

Ducks also don’t charge you if they get annoyed.

Actually, ducks do race to the shore if you have food. Or think you might have food.

No, they do it, too. That’s why hunters use duck calls.
