Martha died peacefully at about 9:00 Monday night. I was at work when my other sister, Mary called me with the news. The timing was pretty good since I happened to be on break at the time and I was alone in what we call “the quiet room” (it used to be the smoking lounge). So, yes, I cried my eyes out and it was nice to do so in the solitude of that room instead of busting into tears on the sales floor. I was scheduled to work until 10:00 PM, but was allowed under the circumstances to leave early.

again, simply amazing that you think that it’s appropriate to scam people for funds here…

My copy of The Chesney Chronicles arrived last night.

It was SO hot on my back porch yesterday that the cactus fainted!!!! I propped it up and it’s OK. Today will be worse. My pooch woke me at 5:45am and thanks to him I got ‘it’ all done. Now to relax until nightfall. Oliver, once again, is sleeping on the back of my recliner, sort of on my head. If I had a Chesney I don’t want to think where he’d be.
