    People from other countries will not eat bread here in the US, because it is days old

    Make your own bread. If you do it by hand, it’s good exercise and a great way to work off frustration. If that’s not you “thing”, use a machine. Either way, you know what’s in it.

    That’s your invitation, Earl, to take yourself out and get something from Subway or another Sub place. They have plenty of choices as to the bun and what’s put on it.

    I mostly eat brown bread instead of white now. But I still do eat white bread occasionally. So what if it’s full of carbs? We NEED carbs!

    Old bread can be quite useful. In France, day-old baguettes are sold to gardeners as fence posts.
