The last we saw Michael and Martha in yesterday’s strip, it was nighttime and they were headed away from the camp. Now we see them again headed back into the camp during the daylight. It looks like they spent the night together outside the camp and are just now returning, but there is no way to tell one way or the other, thank goodness. This romance between 12-year-olds just puts me on edge.
In contrast to this, we have the innocence of young Dawn Enjo, who apparently has grown up in such a sheltered environment that she only associates hand-holding with being a swim buddy.

What good is a swimming partner if they’re off swimming without you and you have to hunt your partner up while drowning?

I don’t think anything could break that NRE (New Relationship Energy) glow – but I’m sure that the bratty little sister will do her best!
