Silver’s shirt/jacket looks like something you wear around home like some kind of house coat.

Silver and Sprocket act more like husband and wife than as siblings.

The Nitrates are easily my favorite Staton/Curtis original villains, able to veer from “Goofy Gophers” levels of polite deference to casual, murderous pique in the space of a single panel.

Oh, this may be the last scam, all right……

If these two really are brother and sister, this is one of the creepier relationships among the Rogues’ Gallery.

The question is, will Public Domain let them go after this scam? I think Mr Domain have a long time investment in mind when he liberated Silver and Sprocket

Hey, let the Nitrate kids have their fantasy-fun. They may not survive until retirement; at least, not outside the slam.

They do seem uncomfortably close, or Sprocket does. Silver is more laid-back about it. But I won’t speculate on the basis of such slight evidence….

Their candles may burn shorter, but they are burning much much brighter.
