Firefighters are amazing people and true heroes one and all. They will save anyone and any animal. Their hearts and souls are as wonderful and big as their heroics. I have such a great amount of admiration for them all.

I totally agree with My Dog is My Co Pilot. I am happy to say that a month or so ago, a local group (the name of which, I’m frustrated to say, eludes me at the moment) gave our fire department a collection of brand new specially made masks for pets. They had already given them some in the past, but they were becoming old and hard to repair. But even before such things existed, I saw pictures and read stories of firefighters taking risks and even using their own equipment to save a pet.
