If this had been an actual emergency, you would have been so screwed!

Did they get inspired by the swedish debacle when Hoarse Fredric did sound in Stockholm last week? (Hoarse Fredric is a nickname for the emergency siren in sweden, it went off unexpectedly last Sunday in the Stockholm region, no-one really knows why, but it took up to an hour before the authorities managed to get out the message that it was false alarm. Embarrassingly, when they actually did try to blow the signal for “danger over”, that didn’t work! So double failure. The incident has become something of a scandal that is garnering quite some attention in both media and politics.)

I’m listening to an interesting radio program and they are getting to the good part and the stupid Emergency Annoyance Test comes on and I never hear the conclusion. They never ever happen during a commercial. So all Russia has to do is send out the nukes during commercial breaks!!

I was in Bagram one time(contractor) when the local militia decided to send their monthly barrage of rockets. We all heard them launch and moments later hit. (no one hurt) then 10 minutes later the Giant Voice came on with siren and tell everyone to take cover that we were under attack. Reminded me of Vietnam when Charlie would send the monthly mail (rockets) What a nut roll!

    Uh, Hart, Mastroianni and Parker?

The Emergency Broadcast System (EBS) no longer exists. It was replaced years ago with the Emergency Alert System (EAS). You guys gotta stay up-to-date.
