Good morning, fellow Graham Crackers. Paul and I are totally bummed out this morning. Our living room TV turned itself off last night and refuses to turn back on. There is power going to it, but it doesn’t respond to either the remote or pressing the power switch. We can’t call a repairman until late next week, because that is when my pension comes in. Grrrr. Other than that, life is great.

To the Queen of all ‘Feline Fiefdom’ !

I wouldn’t have a cat here because as a one person house I would be ball and chained to its care and as the landlord does not allow cats to be outdoors it would be confined to the interior of this wall to wall carpet situation. I do not relish having residual odors of cleaned up barf, poop etc. and definitely an ever present taint of cat box in the air.

There are rabbits living outside in the hedges and though I can’t get close enough to touch have some very close proximity. Also lately have some kind of Towhee bird that walks around under the carport with stuff in its beak that looks very much like nest building materials, that it goes into the huge shrub around front of the building with. Cats are not allowed outdoors here because they are credited with reduced songbird numbers from all the kills by domestic cats who then don’t even eat their kills. My brief actual contact with rabbits came to a quick end when one of the babies was killed by a neighbor’s cat. The survivor went to ground  but produced a litter which has since brought numbers here back up.

IT WAS BLAZING HOT AND HUMID TODAY (NYC). Thank goodness my cats were inside with the ACs going. Tomorrow the same. Daughter and 2 grand kids arrive @midnight for a few days. I AM NOT going to no beach with them tomorrow…oh, NO, not me!!!! The ACs can keep me, cats and pooch company.

Chesney seems to have a split personality which needs splicing back together.
