@BILAN . Penguins can swim a lot faster and further than polar bears. If you’ve ever seen them underwater they pretty much fly in water.

Perhaps Wiley should have drawn baboons, as a group of baboons is referred to as a “troop” as well as a “Congress.” Sorry to denigrate the intelligence of a baboon.

What would a flock of maitre d’s be called? I hope my plural is correct. I’d like to have seen some blue hair with this penguins.

Interesting, polar Bears are a northern hemisphere/Arctic animal while Penguins are southern hemisphere/Antarctic animals. To do this joke climate change has taken an interesting and different turn than many say; like there’s an Ice Age on;-)

That’s a lot of paddling – there’s a lot MORE ice underwater. But it’s worth it for those tasty feathered snacks!

Based on my canoeing experience, paddling on only one side of the floating object produces rotation, not progress.

Where have we seen this?

A side-plot in Kim Stanley Robinson’s recent SF novel “New York 2140” involves air-shipping a group of polar bears down to the Antarctic to avoid extinction. The trip south did not go well. :-)

Actually the penguins are wondering how the bears think they are going to catch them once they (the penguins) dive into the water. Once they come to the conclusion that the bears are too stupid to have figured it out, they just dive under the bears and reappear behind them two ice floes away.

Interesting fact: Most penguins can dive to 100m and emperor penguins have been known to dive more than 500m. They can also stay underwater for up to 20 minutes. The penguins are like the road runner and the Wiley bears, well, they’re like the coyote.

Meanwhile, as congress & commentators discuss technicalities, the important issue is bearing down on them.

Wow, this was a much discussed cartoon, and Trump was not the focus! Amazing!

Maybe the penguins can claim the polar bears are white supremacists full of hate and violence. Then the mayor or governor of wherever they are can tell the polar bears they aren’t welcome.

It reminds me of those Coca Cola Xmas commercials when they added penguins to it then.
