gocomicsmember, I agree with your literal interpretation of what she’s saying, but reading between the lines, I see her providing a cue for Rover to say he’s sorry– and probably a veiled threat by Hoogy that she will stomp him with the heels of her ranger boots if that apology is not made in the next panel. He was a bit flirtatious with Miss Chris.

Yeah, it is! He was hitting on her when she was suppose to be working. You don’t buy her a car, take her out to dinner everynight and buying her things unless he wanted more from her. She moved out and moved in with him because he has more money than me. Jim is an old man who couldn’t keep his hands off my fiance. She called him an old geezer, but has money!

If Miss Chris is pregnant, the new child would actually be the half-sibling to Rover. Or is it step-sibling?
