I have extremely curly/thick hair. As a child my mom went on a business trip for a week. In that week my little brother got a school photo with his pants on backwards and my pig tails were never straight and the braids looked more like knots. My dad really missed my mom that week.
My other half never tried to comb our two daughters’ hair, but I was always available to do it. They’d be in trouble if I had to leave for awhile. My brother did learn to comb his daughters’ hair. My uncle (who raised me with my aunt) was smart enough to get the neighbor lady to braid my sister’s and my hair when our aunt went to visit our grandma.

Been there. To this day my grown Daughters will get on me about how they hated any time I tried to comb their hair when they were tots.

Joe has four kids and countless nieces and nephews. He really should have learned how to comb kids’ hair by now.
