As opposed to modern programming which goes where no one wants to, ever.

@wiatr: ditto. Not much that is either new or sensible and a lot that fails to hold one’s interest. Even the ‘documentary channels,’ such as History, Smithsonian, and Nat’l Geog, have descended into sensationalism and substitute really poor visual effects and lurid music for presentations that should provide a straightforward educational experience.

The new Star Trek will be on the CBS pay channel. Let’s see how many fans venture into this new TV space.

There seems to be a growing lack of creativity in Hollywood. No originality. None.

They’ll have to boldly go where millions have gone for free…and where infinitives are split with panache.

Nothing beats ST:TOS . . . all the reboots and “next gen” in the world isn’t as good as the original.

Since the year 2001, the Star Trek series seem to be concentrating on going over where we have already been. ‘Enterprise’ dealt with the very beginning of the Federation, the Star Trek movies deal with an alternate version of Kirk and his crew and the new “Star Trek:Discovery” takes place about 13 years before the famous five year mission
