I wanted to try skydiving until my first solo flight. As I concentrated on keeping alignment with the runway in a light cross wind (seemed windier “in the moment”) it occurred to me that just floating down under a parachute would be kind of anti-climatic. And I’ve had no interest in jumping since.
Well, it seemed like the thing to do that day. So I did it, twice. And this was before they strapped you to an experienced skydiver. Just me and the parachutes. Twice was enough.

I want to know why anyone would jump out of a perfectly good airplane.

“Sarah”? That’s called “Asking, um, for a friend”.

Jumping from a plane is the equivalent of bungee jumping, base jumping, or washing windows of a 50 story building!
