“…Everything completely different, seriously, I can’t think of one thing you did right, other than keep the spearpoint out of your own body and aiming it vaguely at Big Daddy Babar there.”
He must be very strong and flew with it to impact that tusk. Strong and stupid. Maybe he’d learn if wasn’t about to die. And Hindsightman will get dumped really soon. Annoying with “I told you so” all the live long day.

This is where the hunter learns to bring a throwing knife along also…
…to take care of the smart aleck.

Could have started a grass fire to chase the mammoth over the cliff, butcher at the bottom!

Survival lesson #2 – right after NEVER tick off a tiger.

With these guys weapons development might have gone something like -
Rocky throws big rock at a tiger. Sets speed record for the hundred.
Then Rocky tries to bash the tiger in the head with the rock. Not too effective, but another successful high speed retreat.
Now nicknamed Lefty [for obvious reasons] tries a long stick. Gets back a toothpick and a third speed trophy.
Retires to fireside to pick grass and leaves from latest meal out of teeth while contemplating his trophy wall.

Maybe Hindsightman is talking to the mammoth. This can’t be how he thought his day was going to end up.

I’d rather be dropped off that cliff spear-in-hand than take advice from a dude with a man-bun.

He that is in battle slain,
Will never rise to fight again.
But he who critiques and runs away,
Will live to critique another day.

Those that can’t, critique.

I recall seeing a comic of a poor fly fisherman whose back cast found itself neatly wrapped around the snout of a very ticked off bull moose.
