High altitude is a relative thing…. around here 5,900 feet is pattern altitude at the airport (only 1,000’ above ground).
Where I used to live that was 200’ below ground level… elevation at the low part of town (south east) was 6,100 feet and it went uphill as you headed west or north into town.
