I don’t like wearing hats either. Earmuffs are ok though.

The only time I wear hats seven days a week (yes, including Sunday) is when it’s cold outside and I put on my stocking cap attachment for a baseball cap. What is this hat of which you speak? Michael is a good Canadian boy and he wears a toque, a tuque, or a touque, or however it is spelled.

Same here, I’m not a hat person.

I see the kids at the bus stop dressed for summer and the same with adults at the stores. There is no such thing as common sense!

Part of the reason not to put on hats outdoors could be whenever kids are indoors, they are nagged by parents and teachers to take off their hats.

My grandfather was a haberdasher who remarked that one man caused the hat economy to go bust. That man’s name was John Kennedy.

Knit hats are called Toboggans in some parts of the US , especially in the Carolinas.

I always drove me crazy that my mother assumed that if she was cold, I must be.

Being mostly bald, hats are a fact of life for me. Unfortunately none of them really get along with wind. Knit caps aren’t bad but when the wind gets fierce even they abandon you and eventually appear somewhere in Tobago, I suppose.

Michael’s at the beginning stage of teenage “rebellion”. It’s the start of the search for individuality and singular expression. If parents are for it, then the teenager’s against it.If not wearing a hat, or wearing shorts in the winter, drives your parents crazy, then by all means do it – even if you catch pneumonia !

I wear a hat in the summer because I can’t bear too much sun on my head. When you live in Las Vegas, it is a necessity.

Wearing hats are common sense, but not everyone agrees.

Some people “run hot” or “run cold” compared to others. That’s why there’s a joke about Mom telling the kids to put on a sweater because their cold.

As long as the hat is functional – and don’t forget the aluminum foil lining – vital!

Forgive the pun, but Mike obviously thinks it is much cooler to freeze.
