I miss Hechinger’s but at least there is a Lowe’s available nearby.

This would be a perfect time to quote Groucho Marx.

Ugghh. If it’s not a pet store, pets don’t belong there.

Here in sw Florida pets can go just about anywhere, since they can’t be left inside of cars. Not sure why your pet needs to go everywhere mine are happy to stay home & get some alone time.

I used to work at HD. When asked by customers if dogs were allowed, I would say “as long as they’re well behaved” which means if your dog doesn’t like other dogs or gets nervous around people or loud noises, be a good owner and don’t torture your dog by bringing it in. Never had a dog pee in the store, but once had a (thankfully) small dog manage to poop a little before the owner quickly reacted, scooped up the dog, and ran outside with it. I’m sure he would have cleaned it up too, but we couldn’t leave poop in the middle of the aisle until he got back. He apologized profusely, too. At our store, the cashiers would buy boxes of milk bones out of our own pockets for treats. So yeah, they’re welcome in HD, but walk your dog before bringing it in, please.

You dog scowlers are so full of it. In France, dogs are socialized and well mannered, and they can go into restaurants, stores, etc. If bowser whizzes on a display, don’t blame the dog, blame the master. And dog scowlers, go get a massage, or have a beer; some urine isn’t going to send you to the hospital. What’s next, keeping toddlers out of HD because they might play with a dowel unattended? ….. Rock on, Harry Bliss, don’t listen to those grumpy faces who’d scowl at joy articulated in any form.
