The brilliant new book Fantasyland, by Kurt Andersen, points out that fabulation and disconnection from reality, far from being a recent development, has been part and parcel of American life since the very beginning with the crazy Puritans.
There’s nothing wrong with a good fantasy, provided you don’t take it too seriously. And there’s nothing wrong with reality, provided you don’t take it too seriously!
I hope all the perfect people who are against an honest person having a few guns to protect them selves from the NUTS never have need of one to save their own lives. Want to be like Germany before WW 2 and have the Govt. take them and have nothing to defend against them.
People who don’t think citizens should have guns, have never lived in the country at least a half hour to 45 minutes from the closest law enforcement. These people would be easy prey for criminals if no one was aloud guns but the police.

Reality hasn’t changed.
What has changed is a certain group has decided to interpret reality to suit their own greedy desires.
