It was talking with a wife where the phrase “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” was first uttered by a confused and frustrated husband

My husband is like Arlo – he always says that to his mind, we’re still those young folks, and he still sees me like that….I always respond that it doesn’t hurt that he’s near-sighted and rarely wears his glasses!
