    And most kids didn’t live very long either back then. I agree, we were originally cat chow. Leopard chow to be more precise.

    Initially we were nothing but bear, wolf or cat “chow”, but, because, in part, we were competing for the same food sources, we ‘eliminated’ the competition. And then we “devolved” into “trophy” hunters like Don Jr. & Eric!

    Until more or less the modern era, most people didn’t live for more than about 30-40 years. Some people lived a lot longer, but they were outliers. That’s why our bodies get so many problems in later life: we have outlasted the lifespans they were designed for.
