When I was in college my roommate (from Ohio) asked me for the skillet. I didn’t know what a skillet was (I grew up in New York), so I looked it up in my dictionary and handed him the frying pan.
As if “Word of the Day” is not pedantic enough, we now have “Themed Word of the Day”. He is just sitting there reading the paper, seems she is the fractious one.
That old bat insults him just about every day. He should take a long vacation alone to escape her constant belittling and let her see what life alone will be like.
I guess he’s too old to look up the word on the computer. it’s a lot faster on the computer than looking it up in the dictionary. i have a dictionary, but i haven’t looked at it in years. gotta throw it away one of these days.

She’s just plain irritating.

Honestly, fractious describes the wife better than the husband. He is not the one criticizing every move she makes.

That doesn’t describe Earl at all. He certainly didn’t get irritated by the insult, but it probably irritated her that he didn’t.

My ex-wife was like that. She might still be but I haven’t seen her in years. Thank dog for small things.

Why do they keep cutting certain comics short? At least two panels are missing.
